What is Beach Korfball?
Korfball is a “century-old cousin of basketball” and “a game men and women play as equals” (New York Times). Beach Korfball is a new and fast-growing discipline of Korfball (basic rules, video of full matches).

The game is played 4×4 (two males, two females on a team) on a beach volleyball-sized court. There’s no dribbling, lots of passing, and shots are on a 11.5-foot hoop with no backboard. Games are quick (12 minutes each); usually 3-4 games are played each day over a 2-3 day tournament.

USA Beach Korfball
USA Beach Korfball is overseen by the US Korfball Federation (USKF), which is a member of the International Korfball Federation (IKF). The IKF is officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The USKF and USA Beach Korfball are still in their developing stages, and are 100% self-funded/volunteer organizations. The senior beach team primarily trains in Seattle, WA.
